The
tales from dark and mysterious Gotham, home of the bat and land of the mob, are
once again back for another episode this week, following is my review.
Jim
Gordon Is haunted by the decision his colleagues have taken, to turn their
backs on him when hunted he was by the vicious mobsters of Gotham. When he didn’t
kill the penguin, as ordered, he made many people angry, and the bureau is
after him as if he didn’t have enough problems already. Now he has to put up
with the people that hate him for showing them the kind of cowards they are.
Who
is behind all this? The mobsters, they are the ones causing all the mess; when
one wanted Mister Oswald Cobblepot dead and the other didn’t deliver things got
ugly. Fortunately the Penguin was able to “charm” his way around the claws of
the mob. Agreement dealt, agreement done.
Oswald
Cobble pot is exactly the penguin, who has been finding his way around to get
what he wants. He was once Fish Mooney’s Umbrella man; turned bad, she decides
she has to take him out, but not directly. She has to show Jim Gordon that the
only way you can be a policeman is to work for the mob. Gordon is tasked with
the sole objective of killing the penguin. Jim doesn’t do this but instead he
lets him leave with the only oath that he will leave and never come back. When the
oath is broken and Cobblepot is back in town under the wings of one Sal Maroni
Fish Mooney is not happy. Mooney is in affiliation with even higher level crime
boss Carmine Falcone who would not allow her to take Cobblepot, even though
still mad.
Let’s
not forget about the one who has brought the show to life. Bruce Wayne has lost
his parents and is in a full time investigation to find their killer.
He now has to go to school instead of being
homeschooled. Obviously privileged school, frequented only by those of wealth,
but this doesn’t mean perfect. A certain Tommy doesn’t seem to like Bruce very
much. When bullied about his parents’ death Bruce responds but can’t hold up
his own as he had never been in a fight before. Fortunately he had a very
understanding butler by the name of Alfred.
Now,
a new killer has shown up in Gotham. A successful businessman has been setting
up office laser tag with real weapons: if you wanted to get into the company, a
good high paying job, you’ll have to be the last one standing in a three man
fight around an old office. Finally when in need the police station comes
around to finding where the fights have been taking place and have been able to
catch the killer.
Nothing
could be too good, or too usual. Barbara has been pushed away by Jim, she is paranoiac
and every time she ears something she has flashbacks of when she was captive of
Maroni. She left Jim right before he got home from work.
Final Score 8.0
